Social media has showed a great power to intervene in consumer behavior. This is reflected as well in the Total Retail 2016 report elaborated by PwC. This report provides some interesting conclusions: for example, the 45 percent of online consumers are influenced by reviews, comments and feedback from other users.

Although this is a global percentage, there are differences between countries. While in the emerging markets this share stands on the 56 percent, in the established markets it stands on a 36 percent.

In Europe, both Italian and Spanish shares are the most significant as they are higher than the global average: 47 and 46 percent respectively. In Germany the 37 percent of consumers see their online purchases influenced by these causes. United Kingdom registered a percentage of 33 and France has a share of the 25 percent.

The European Association of Perfume and Cosmetic Products (APCE) seeks to inform its associates and all companies involved in the sector about the consumption trends and the latest updates related to the digital field and new technologies. We would like to endorse APCE members in the process of fitting within the ongoing market demands. This reason brought us to reach a partnership with Upplication in order to offer discounts for those associates who want to create an app.
